Right off the bat here I will let everyone know that the site, Where's Parker, is dedicated to the education leading to changing the laws in this country in regards to dog fighting, puppy mills, and all other forms of animal abuse which also includes the rounding up and genocide of feral cats and the blind eye toward education about the importance of spaying and neutering. . . . . Having witnessed court cases, I am sickened, disgusted, and angered at the lack of morality in this inept judicial system, and the apathy of all those associated with it.

Ossia M. Phillips, Atlanta, sentenced to 10 years for dog fighting


"An Atlanta man is going to prison for 10 years for running what police call a major dogfighting operation."


My hat is off to you Judge Stephanie Manis. Hurray for you!!!!!

"33 year old Ossia Phillips pleaded guilty in Fulton County Superior Court to 15 counts of dogfighting and 2 counts of aggravated animal cruelty.

In December 2007, police found 15 pit bulls and the bodies of several more, behind Phillips' property in Ben Hill.

A fighting ring was found in the woods behind the house."

NOW . . . My question is why can't Chicago prosecute like this????

Did everyone get that name? JUDGE CAROTHERS. (Yep, for those here in Chicago, she is related to THAT Alderman Isaac (Ike) Carothers.)


This Judge Carothers has a very bad habit of being soft, and even throwing out, animals abuse cases. (By the way, she is also lenient on drug cases.) Maybe we should note at this time that she started her career as a public defender, and her career then proceeded into years of being a Defense attorney.


Example, just last week Judge Carothers found "No probably cause" for the arrest of someone who had 16 counts of Owner's Duties and 16 counts of Cruel Treatment. (That means there were 16 dogs found.) Yes, dog fighting.


Judge Carothers allowed this person to walk even though neighbors reported them, the officers, upon arriving at their residence, smelled foul urine coming out of the residence, AND the defendant LET the officers into the residence where they found these dogs. Unfortunately, even though these dog fighters, these heinous cruel excuses for human beings, tortured and killed animals, their names cannot be disclosed because of . . . thank you very much Judge Carothers.


Does anyone believe these neanderthal beings will stop their torture and murder of innocent life? No they will not, thank you Judge Carothers.


And thank you Judge Carothers for showing others who torture and kill for fun and profit that the system will work in their favor.


My suggestion for this CHICAGO Judge? . . . Well, besides that. . . . Send her to traffic court.
